The bone & tissue day is an innovative congress concept to share knowledge in dental hard- and soft tissue regeneration. They are characterized by a combination of theoretical clinical-scientific lectures, and on Saturday, November 15th, we are proud to finally bring this event to Knokke, Belgium, following a long series of successful international editions.
This exclusive event brings together renowned international speakers and leading experts in regenerative dentistry to share their knowledge, experience, and cutting-edge techniques.
Whether you’re looking to deepen your understanding of biomaterials, explore new clinical protocols, or connect with like-minded professionals, bone & tissue day is the place to be.
Soft Tissue Management Around Dental Implants Discover advanced strategies for achieving predictable aesthetic outcomes in the challenging anterior zone. This session explores the critical balance between soft and hard tissue architecture, emphasizing the importance of precise 3D implant positioning and the strategic use of innovative biomaterials. Learn how to master the "pink aesthetic" through effective soft tissue enhancement techniques, including grafting procedures and guided bone regeneration protocols that ensure long-term stability and natural-looking results.
Revolutionary Approaches to Bone Regeneration Experience the future of implantology with cutting-edge biomaterials that transform complex procedures into predictable treatments. This presentation showcases advanced sticky bone solutions and biodegradable membrane technologies that eliminate the need for removal procedures. Explore next-generation synthetic biomaterials that gradually transform into natural bone, offering mechanically robust yet fully bioresorbable solutions for alveolar ridge augmentation and socket preservation.
Modern Strategies in Staged Bone Grafting Move beyond traditional complications with evidence-based approaches to complex implant cases. This critical examination of conventional staged grafting protocols presents innovative solutions including CAD/CAM allograft blocks and advanced plating techniques. Discover how digital planning and modern materials can minimize risks while making complex procedures accessible to general dental practices.
Sinus Floor Elevation: Making Evidence-Based Decisions Master the art of sinus augmentation with comprehensive coverage of both lateral and crestal approaches. This session provides clear decision-making criteria for simultaneous versus staged implant placement, supported by the latest clinical evidence. Learn optimal techniques, indications, and protocols for successful outcomes in challenging posterior maxillary cases.

Dr. Giorgio Tabanella graduated from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles where he obtained the Certificate in Periodontics as well as the Master of Science in Craniofacial Biology. He was awarded as “Outstanding Periodontal Researcher in Surgery and Implantology” by the California Society of Periodontists for his study on bone remodeling. Furthermore, he is the Scientific Coordinator, Director of O.R.E.C. – Oral Reconstruction and Education Center (www.TABANELLAOREC.com), and is reviewer, and author of several publications in peer reviewed journals.
Dr. Tabanella lectures all over the world on implant and periodontal surgery, aesthetic management in dental implant and periodontal therapy, peri-implant bone remodeling, soft and hard tissue reconstruction around natural teeth and implants as well as the re-treatment of failures. His research focuses on tissue regeneration and augmentation with different bone and soft tissue grafting materials, peri-implant and dental bone loss, novel protocols for the repair of ailing dental implants.
Dr. Tabanella maintains a private practice in Rome, Italy where he also holds advanced courses and live surgeries on tissue regeneration and retreatment of implant failures.
Dr. Hassan Maghaireh graduated in 2008 at the University of Manchester. He is an aesthetic implant dentist from the United Kingdom and is the Head of Scientific Committee of the British Academy of Implant & Restorative Dentistry (BAIRD). Next to being owner and head of the dental implants team of Leeds Dental Implants & Cosmetic Clinic, he is an Associate Professor in Oral Surgery & Implant Dentistry at The College of Medicine & Dentistry – Ulster University in Birmingham as well as Mentor & Examiner at The Implant MSc Program at the University of Manchester.
Moreover, he is a fellow of the International Team of Implantology (ITI), ITI Speaker and ITI Study Club Director for Leeds, United Kingdom. On top of that, he has published many dental implant systematic reviews and random controlled clinical trials with special emphasis on soft and bone tissue management in the aesthetic zone. He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Trials and a co-author at Cochrane collaboration.
Dr. Irfan Abas is specialized in implant placement and bone reconstructions. In addition to general dentistry, Irfan Abas has specialized in implantology, oral surgery and restorative dentistry. In addition to his work at Dental Practice Abas & Bosker, he has also authored many articles and been an editor for the dental journal DentistPractice.
His first publication was in the Dutch Journal of Dentistry together with Professor Gert Meijer (Radboud UMC), under whose responsibility he successfully completed the 4-year postgraduate course in Reconstructive Dentistry (Radboud UMC) in 2014. Since 2019, he has had his own training institute the Abas Implant Academy, to train dentists in oral surgery and implantology. Teaching and lecturing, in addition to his work at the chair, is his passion and he does so regularly at home and abroad. He has grown from a graduate specialist in the field of Oral Implantology & Restorative Dentistry to a well-known international speaker.
