This hands-on course will cover the clinical application techniques of anterior and posterior composite restoration such as diastema closure restoration, crown fracture restorations, and occlusal restora4ons with simple-lines and cusp-to cusp composite layering techniques. The contemporary restorative techniques such as injecton moulding in anterior region and stamp injecton in posterior region will also be presented in detail. Essential restorative instruments needed for a proper composite restoration and the clinical application techniques will be demonstrated.
The importance of pre-restorative clear aligner therapy (CAT) for durability will be discussed by clinical and scientific evidence, in terms of minimally invasive dentistry principles. Clinical workflows such as composite color selection, rubber-dam isolation, adhesion protocol, composite layering, surface texturing, finishing, and polishing procedures will be mentioned in detail. Accordingly, the full and partial surface coverage techniques with simple monochromatic composite layering and advanced polychromatic composite layering will be discussed through several clinical scenarios. Additive and subtractive surface finishing protocols and their advantages and limitations in terms of emulating the natural dental morphology will be demonstrated through a realistic phantom model. All the participants will have the chance to apply these restoration types individually using composites and equipments.
