Een urgentie in de agenda ziet niemand graag komen. Laat het dan een niet te verdoven ‘hot tooth’ zijn, of nog erger: een trauma.

Wat doe je wanneer?

Wanneer doe je een expulp?

Welke spalk plaats je?

Hoe lang moet ik spalken?

Wat doe ik binnen enkele weken als vervolgtherapie?

Schrijf ik AB voor?

Op deze en nog meer vragen trachten we een antwoord te geven.
Tijdens deze lezing overlopen we de behandelstrategieën inzake trauma van het definitieve gebit. Er wordt een onderscheid gemaakt tussen enerzijds trauma van de tand zelf (glazuurfractuur, glazuur-dentinefractuur, kroon-wortelfractuur, wortelfractuur), en anderzijds trauma van het parodontium (contusie, subluxatie, intrusie, extrusie, laterale luxatie, avulsie).

De richtlijnen worden gestaafd met wetenschappelijk onderzoek, en we proberen bij elk trauma een casus te laten zien.

Zo bent u als tandarts toch iets beter gewapend volgende keer wanneer er een traumapatiënt bij u in de stoel komt.

  Alexander obtained his degree as a General Dentist (2015) and his postgraduate degree in Endodontics (2018) at KU Leuven. Currently, he works in his private dental office (ALEXANDER) as a full-time endodontist purely on a referral-basis, and at VSC. To further specialize his skill set, he started a 3-year master degree in Laser Dentistry at the Sigmund Freud University in Vienna. He combines a somewhat blunt, idiosyncratic mind with his rigorous discipline.
