This workshop offers participants an early insight into the evolving role of dental assistants and dental hygienists within modern aligner therapy workflows. With a primary focus on clinical photography, the session highlights its critical importance as a foundational skill in achieving predictable and efficient aligner treatment outcomes.
Participants will explore the principles of standardized intraoral and extraoral photography, including proper framing, lighting, and patient positioning. Emphasis is placed on understanding how high-quality clinical images contribute to accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, monitoring of treatment progress, and effective communication between clinicians, dental laboratories, and patients.
In addition, the workshop addresses common pitfalls in clinical photo documentation and provides practical guidance on how to avoid them in daily practice. By strengthening these core competencies, participants will enhance the quality and consistency of their clinical records.
